I wrote this piece of poetry after touring with a documentary on human trafficking that featured my story called, Stopping Traffic. At every show, I was confronted with questions bordering on accusations that sexual abuse and rape and human trafficking doesn’t happen to boys and men in places like Bryan.
One of the primary reasons my first marriage broke down and why my second marriage is so successful, is NOT because I have fully recovered from PTSD, but because of how Melissa and I dealt with it as a couple. This is very important for PTSD caregivers in Bryan to know.
